Clear Hills County is situated in north western Alberta. Its name was changed from Municipal District of Clear Hills No. 21 to Clear Hills county on Jan 01, 2006. The county is bounded by the County of Northern Lights to the north and west, the Peace River Regional District on the east and the Municipal District of Fairview No. 136 to the south. It encloses the village of Hines Creek, the hamlets of Cleardale and Worsley and several localities.
Agriculture is the major economic engine of the county. Agricultural programs in the county are managed through the Agriculture Services Board. They oversee weed control programs, equipment hiring, soil conservation and environmental protection. The county is governed by the Clear Hills County Council which is headquartered at Worsley.
