Municipal District of Acadia No. 34 is located in southern eastern Alberta. It contains the hamlet of Acadia Valley and the localities of Acadia, Arneson and Haven. The Buffalo Trail, also known as Highway 41 runs across the area north to south. Acadia also has some 480 kilometers of improved roads, 60 kilometers of municipal highways, 220 kilometers of bladed trails, 48 kilometers of Paved secondary Highways and about 48 kilometers of Primary Highway.

Acadia is a partner in Canadian Badlands Tourism as well as in the “Travel the Special Area’s” Program and it is home to the Prairie Elevator Museum and Tea House.
