The Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen is among the southernmost regional district of British Columbia. The biggest employers in the region are School District 67 Okanagan Skaha and School District no. 53. Other than those, primary industry sectors such as agriculture and fishing contribute significantly to its economy. The regional district also has a growing eco -tourism industry which is supported by its numerous parks and recreational facilities.
